Visual artist & graphic designer
I'm Kainat, a designer and painter. I studied fine art before I ever touched a grid, and that order still shows: I draw first, then build the system around what the drawing wants.
Identity, campaigns and illustration for people who want their work to feel like something. Plus paintings and photographs, made for myself.
Five ways of working
Whole identities built from the inside out — a mark, a type system, a palette and the rules that keep them honest across every surface.
- Brand systems, marks, packaging
Launches and seasonal work that has to move quickly without losing its manners. Art direction, layout systems and finished artwork.
- Print, social, out-of-home
Hand-drawn work made to order: editorial spots, label art, spot illustration and full illustrated systems for brands.
- Commissioned drawing
Painted work made for myself. Slow, quiet pieces about domestic light, dried flowers and the rooms I have lived in.
- Personal, on paper and board
Photographs kept as a notebook — texture, weather, market colour and the small accidents of a city morning.
- Personal, 35mm and digital
Let's make something warm
Tell me about the project — what it is, roughly when it needs to land, and the budget you're working with. I answer every serious enquiry.
