Ten years between an easel and a type panel. I still mix palettes by hand before they become hex values, which is why the work reads warm on screen and prints without a fight.
A fine-art habit, applied to brands
I'm Kainat, a designer and painter. I studied fine art before I ever touched a grid, and that order still shows: I draw first, then build the system around what the drawing wants.
Commissioned work sits in three places — identity, campaigns and illustration. Studios come to me when a brand needs to feel made rather than assembled: warm colour, real texture, type set with care and no reliance on effects.
Alongside that, I keep a personal practice of painting and photography. It is where colour gets tested, and it feeds back into every client project I take on.
