Ridgeline case study cover — outdoor / gear — acquisition turnaround

Overview

A gear brand nobody could place — sold as fitness apparel, camping kit and running shoes at once. Rebuilt around one job.

Challenge

The gear was specific; the brand was generic sport-tech. Nothing on the shelf told you what any product was actually for.

Approach

A ring badge system, terrain-coded and earned rather than applied: trail, camp, summit. Colour derived from terrain, three values only.

Outcome

A storefront you browse by badge instead of by category, and a range that finally reads as one outfitter.
